This is a 1943 harley davidson wlc. It comes with the sidecar. It was a ww2 military motorcycle built for canada. Hence the c designation. This 1943 wlc was converted to civilian dress a long time ago when it arrived somehow in alaska. I have no idea how it ended up finding its way to indiana and then over to me. The sidecar is period correct. With the rationing of steel during the war, harley turned to goulding for their manufacturing of sidecars. From the looks of all the mounts and knowing a little about goulding there is a good chance this sidecar was mated to this bike the day it rolled off of the assembly line and went into service for the canadian military. I love old bikes and am as amca member. What i did want is what i always want. A one kick go anywhere rider. The bike also comes with a lot of hard to find original accessories. Look at that back seat! Try and find one now. I also added an original foot operated scrub siren. Remember, these were actual sirens used on police bikes and they could be heard for blocks. Check out https://www. V=ggd4yavltlg that video was made when the bike was still in assembly stage and it was only idling in first gear. Out on the road it screams! I also added a period correct 1940's person majestic bicycle siren for the passenger in the sidecar. My kid loves to pull the chain and make his own police noise too. So the deal here is that the bike needs nothing. It starts on one kick (here's another video where the bike made a lier out of me and took ten kicks. I forgot to turn down the choke lol: https://www. V=nwomtdljuy8&t=10s ) and goes straight down the road at 60 mph with no problem. All lights and speedometer work! It's truly a one kick wonder. I say this just to be fair. I know most people that are looking at this already know all of these things and probably even more than i do. I just don't want someone to think they are getting the best of both worlds and by buying this one they can ride the family everywhere and everyday while keeping up with their buddies on a ninja. That ain't going to happen. This motorcycle is seventy three years old! It's cool and it starts on one kick but i do not want to let anyone down if they have no idea how to ride one of these. It is a lot of fun but it does take some getting used to. I am an honest seller and i believe in the fun of riding and restoring old motorcycles. Life is short and this is a fun lifestyle. The bike had a major going over this winter. Everything down to the seat bushing has been tightened, replaced or greased. The battery is 6 volt and less than one year old. The upholstery is new. If not, change it back to black. The wife sits on the rare third seat and complains. Oh the family fun with a three seater. But i wouldn't know. It truly is a door opener. With all that being said, i have to get to the lawyery stuff... I reserve the right to sell it locally or to change my mind and keep it. There is no warranty. I cannot ship but will assist in any way that i can. I will not send the title and then wait for the money. I am not afraid to keep it. This is not my first old motorcycle and will not be my last. I just get tired of them once there is nothing left to do to them to make them perfect and then move on to the next project. I have a clean illinois title not a bill of sale.
