1974 MG MidgetSilver / Tan4-Speed Manual TransmissionFinal Small-Bumper YearFun Summer Driver! Vin # GAN5UE140027 GEngine Tag #: 12V/671Z/L125Evolve Motors & Chicago Car Club are pleased to present this 1974 MG Midget! Exterior:We really like these pre-impact-bumper MGs. The small, chrome bumpers really do wonders for the car’s looks. Silver paint shows very nicely, and has a great metallic sparkle to it. However, there are a couple dings just ahead of both doors, from the door being swung open too far and making contact with the body. Black convertible top is in excellent shape, with no damage or visible wear. All chrome pieces – door handles, bumpers, mirrors, light trim, badges, etc, are in great shape, with no oxidation or damage. All lights and glass are clear and crack-free. Wire wheels are in decent shape, there’s no damage but they do show their age a bit. Overall, the car is in nice, driver-level condition. Interior:Tan interior looks great against the silver exterior. Condition is consistent throughout the interior – not damaged, but showing its age a bit by way of slight fading. The tan color of the door panels looks to be slightly off from that of the seats. Leather-wrapped dash in in very nice shape, with just a couple little hairline cracks in the leather. Black carpets appear close-to-new throughout. All gauges, lights, and signals are functional. The car will come with a black leather tonneau cover and boot cover. Odometer reads 48,966, true mileage unknown. There are remains of a protective sealant towards the front of the frame rails and the front floors. Please see underbody photos. Overall, the car is structurally sound but not perfect. On the road, the car feels quite good. It fires right up without fault, idles cool and steady, and pulls through the gears with no stuttering or hesitation. Clutch grabs as it should, and there are no noises or tendencies of concern when rolling over speedbumps or cornering. Tires should be replaced before becoming a routine driver, as the rears show some dry rot, but the car does run and drive nicely. As it sits, this would make for a great top-down summer cruiser. The 1275cc motor, which was actually a slightly detuned version of the original Mini Cooper S motor, only makes about 55hp, but with its light weight, short wheelbase, and rev-happy nature, the car is an absolute blast to drive. Please reach out to Jake at 773-267-2684 with any additional questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing.

Seller's comments and description: 1956 mg mga roadster convertible that is a fun driver. 1956 was the first model year for the mga in america but offered in england in mid 1955. Left hand thin steering wheel. Has almost new black vinyl convertible top with unrestored side windows and newer shiny steel exhaust system. Oil pressure and water temperature are good as those gauges work. Speedometer and trip odometer works too, steering is tight, road ride is normal, a real sports car feel. This is a 4 cylinder engine with a 4 speed manual transmission on the floor. It has a slight syncronizer noise when in neutral but clutch is good and shifts normal to me for a 60 year old sports car. Good shiny red paint done several years ago. Bodywork is good with no rust. This gets all the waves and looks and is a fun driver, not a show car. The black interior is pretty okay but not perfect either.

10,500 1980 MG MGB
  • convertible gasoline purple manual
Evolve motors & chicago car club are pleased to present this monster of a 1980 mgb! This is one of those cars that we came across in passing and just knew we had to have it. There's something so right about the short, stubby mgb with the addition of sidepipes, a hood scoop, a ducktail spoiler, and drag-racer-look wheels. The 4. 3l chevy motor, originally from a s10 blazer, completely changes the character of the car. The car looks, sounds, and drives angry. It's a real crowd pleaser; people get a kick out of seeing the muscle-car approach applied to the tame little cruiser that is the mgb. Modifications aren't limited to the gm motor and 5spd; this car is fitted with a positraction limited slip differential, leaf spring rear end, traction bars, dual side-exit exhaust, front disc brakes, and a fuel cell and sending unit. Exterior: dark purple paint looks great and suits the car nicely. Paint presents well but isn't without some minor chipping in the expected areas - behind the rear wheels and on the lower front lip. Body is in great shape, with no dents or dings. Chrome side trim shines bright but does have some very light dings. Glass is all clear and crack-free, as are all lights. Wheels are in excellent shape, and bf goodrich radial tas (195s all around) have about 75% tread remaining. Convertible top is in as-new condition, while the boot cover has a couple small tears. Sidepipes and hood scoop give the car a seriously muscular look. Rubber seals are all in nice shape. Interior: interior is in excellent shape. Black leather seats are new. Dash is in great shape, and all gauges are new. Am/fm/cd stereo sounds great with two large kicker comp speakers in the backseat. Carpeting is in nice shape, and the car will come with a set of mg floormats. Windows are roll-ups. Odometer reads 11,275 miles (since swap), true mileage on motor is unknown. Under the hood / underbody: underbody is in nice shape, with no through rust or damage of any sort. Motor is a 4. 3l v6 out of a second generation s10 blazer and fits in the engine bay nicely with the addition of the hood scoop. Motor makes decent power, around 200hp and 250lbft in stock trim. It's definitely quick and will get the adrenaline flowing, but isn't what we'd consider scary-fast. Exhaust note is fantastic; it crackles and pops on let-off, and downshifts will always have people turning their heads to see where that noise is coming from. The car feels great on the road, it tracks and brakes straight, and the brakes reel it in nicely. Gm 5 speed manual shifts smoothly and is much quicker than the old mg gearbox. The car idles cool and steady, and is a real blast to drive. Overall, this is a unique and fun summer car with tremendous curb appeal. 1938 mg ta - chicago, ilevolve motorschicago, il 60618ph: 7732672684web: www. Evolve-motors. Comoptions:description:see ebay or hemmings for full description. Word limit prohibits. 1938 mg ta “midget” fully restored with documentation recent complete engine rebuild red / black stunning! We were recently contacted by a gentleman who told us he had finally reached a point that he was ready to sell his beloved, a ‘38 mg ta midget that he had painstakingly restored from the ground up. We have been having an absolute blast with the car, and are now offering it for sale. Just in time for summer! There are a couple very minor chips from regular road use (around filler cap, one on lower driver door), but paint was clearly done to a high standard. There is absolutely no body damage, no dents or dings whatsoever. While these cars originally had a polished front grille, this car’s grille is black, which we prefer. It looks great against the car’s red/black color scheme. The car does have a black convertible top, which is free of any tears or damage, but we do not have a set of side curtains to make the car totally water-tight. No matter though, this isn’t really a car we foresee anybody taking on any rainy-day drives. Wire wheels are in nice shape, they show their age a bit but are free of any damage. Interior: black leather seats are in close-to-new condition, and wooden dash is in excellent shape. We love the jaeger gauges on these early british cars, they have a very watch-like face which looks great alongside the knobby wooden wheel. Chrome rings around the gauges show a bit of patina but are in very nice shape overall. Door cards and carpeting is all in excellent shape, having been replaced during the restoration. All gauges are functional, as are wipers, lights, and signals. Suicide-style doors open and close without a fuss. Underbody / under the hood: this car benefits from a complete rebuild of its 1. 3l inline-4 7300 receipt in-hand) just a few years ago. It was thoroughly gone through, and as a result, is a real pleasure to drive. It starts right up without hesitation, idles cool and steady, and winds through the gears nicely. Shifts are smooth and easy and the car tracks nice and straight down the road. Period-correct drum brakes work well, and sure keep things interesting when zipping through traffic. Underneath, the car is in immaculate condition. Please take a good look through the photos, as the car is documented in detail. With its open top, low driving position, and only 94 inch wheelbase, this car is an absolute blast to drive. Fresh off a documented complete restoration and professional engine rebuild, this is surely one of the nicer mg ta midgets out there. Buy with confidence. Leather Seats

1957 mg mga - chicago, ilevolve motorschicago, il 60618ph: 7732672684web: www. Evolve-motors. Comoptions:description:see full description on ebay and hemmings. Word limit prohibits. 1957 mga roadster fully restored iris blue / grey interior / blue top professionally built b-series 1800cc motor car number: hdk43/26480 evolve motors and chicago car club are pleased to present this 1957 mga roadster! What we know: the car belonged to an elderly gentleman in michigan who was in the process of having the car restored. Sadly, he passed away before being able to finish the car. His wife then approached west michigan imports, as she knew one of the guys that worked there, and asked if they would finish the restoration and sell the car for her. They got the car to what they called “98% complete” then sold it to another michigan gentleman, who we later purchased the car from. Throughout his ownership, he adored the car and had many items tended to. He wanted the car to be “correct”, but slightly modernized for improved driveability. The car received a completely rebuilt b-series motor, the mechanical work all done by c-tech performance of wyoming, michigan. Please see the photo of the build receipt, as the invoice provides detail of what exactly went into the motor. Following c-tech’s work, the owner used the car as a summer driver for a few years before bringing it to university motors, a well-known british specialist, to have the car really dialed in. John twist, noted mga guru, tuned the car. In its current state, the car is a truly excellent example. It has only seen about 600 miles since the motor was installed! It’s damn near perfect inside and out, and feels fantastic on the road. It’s much more sophisticated-feeling than just about every other classic british roadster we’ve owned, but it sure hasn’t lost the charm that make these cars so appealing. We have a number of receipts in-hand, including but not limited to the following items: january 2008, c-tech performance: 1800cc b-series long block motor build, block est to be from 1970. Please see photo of invoice. The car has only seen about 600 miles since the build. April 2013, university motors: rebuilt distributor and replaced dynamo. Brake service and bleed. Finish up change polarity. Weld sill plates and install splash guards. Fit new wheels (minator 8 spoke) to car, which required putting hubs on lathe to get the minilites to fit properly. Install strip set, seals, splash plates, door cables, aluminum frame curtain set. July 2015, eclectic motorworks: rebuild front shocks. Replace front coil springs. Center steering wheel, lower a-arms and remove springs. Replace springs with new units from victoria british (ride height was too high with previous springs). Replace floats on su h4 carbs, replaced with new nitrophyl floats from joe curto. Replace fuel filter. The exterior: iris blue is just the right color for these cars. Paint looks great; there is no overspray or signs of age, and presents extremely well. There are absolutely no scrapes, scuffs, dings, or chips anywhere on the car. Even on the lowest corners of the car, the paint is free of any rock chipping. Chrome pieces are all intact and in excellent shape. There is no oxidation whatsoever on any of the chrome. It shines bright and has a mirror-like finish. Lights are clear and crack-free, as is the windscreen. All rubber trim is new. The car has a new dark blue convertible top, a new dark blue tonneau cover, and new side curtains with a leather carrying bag. Carpet, upholstery, door panels, dash, gauges, top, top frame, and side curtains were all new as of early 2000s and remain in like-new condition. All interior items – horn, fan, lights, signals, wipers – are in working order. Under the hood / under the car: the 1800cc b-seri.
