1955 ford f-53 motor home chassis - chicago, ilevolve motors - evolve motorschicago, il 60618ph: 7732672684web: www. Evolve-motors. Comoptions:description:all original survivor!! 1,457 documented miles!! In service until 2008!! All original drivetrain!! Original factory markings!! Purchased from the wheat ridge fire department in 1959, this ford f500 proved to small for the western town, but was the perfect fit for the town of brewster kansas. This truck was one of the first trucks to be acquired by the village to help fight fires, but judging by the mileage, brewster seems to be a fairly fire free town! Originally painted sea sprite green, the exterior received a custom white paint job front to back. As with most fire equipment, this truck has been well cared for since day one. Daily baths and regular details have worn down the paint in a few spots but it adds to the overall patina that this truck has developed. An original rubber floor mat still protects the floor and is in near new condition. The dash, gauges, and controls all have little wear and show like new. The rear utility box contains a hidden holding tank and plenty of storage for all the usual tools associated with the job. This truck also has an original federal siren and matching red lamp that both function. A 239 cubic inch work horse that put out 132 horsepower and was backed by a 4 speed manual transmission. The truck features 6:8 gearing which when coupled with the “granny” low first gear and the v8 power made this truck a powerhouse. Also featuring 20”, tubeless tires and a well built suspension system, this truck has no problems dragging tons of water to a fire plus all the equipment!! This well tuned truck starts, runs, and stops like new.
